In 2014, the Government of Canada began an annual investment of over $192 million into a new employer-driven initiative, called the Canada Job Grant. The purpose is to support employers in taking a greater role in workforce development and to help Canadians gain the skills they need to fill available jobs and become highly competitive in the job market.

These job grants are available to small, medium, and large businesses with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees, and they:

• Provide up to $10,000 in government support per person for training costs.
• Require employers to contribute one-third of the total costs.
 • Require training to be delivered by an eligible, third-party trainer.

Take advantage of Canada Job Grants to save up to 2/3 on your CPSA sales training. Learn more about the Job Grant program in your province by selecting a link below or contacting the program directly.

QUEBEC
Information for residents of Quebec:
The Quebec training system already includes the key principles of the Canada Job Grant (greater employer involvement and employer investment in training), so there is no new Canada-Quebec grant per se. If your company’s total payroll is one million dollars or more, you are required by law to invest at least 1% in employee training. CPSA’s sales training and instructors are accredited by the Labour Market Partners Commission. For more information, please contact the Ministry of Employment and Social Solidarity.
