2017 Board of Director Candidate


For the term beginning May 2017, the CPSA is seeking one new director to join our board of eight. Potential candidates must have the ability to serve for a minimum of one, two-year term, to a maximum of three, two-year terms.

They also must have the ability and interest to eventually be considered for the role of CPSA Chair and it is preferable that they have prior experience in sitting on and/or reporting to a board.

They must work well as part of a team, contribute reasoned opinion and accept and support decisions reached by the board.

The ideal candidate will be experienced working with a diverse membership and a complex product and must be able to commit the time and resources to serve on the board and committees.

We intend to select the best candidates based on required skill sets. In order to provide the Board and our organization with greater potential diversity of interests and perspective, we encourage people of all backgrounds including women, underrepresented groups and those candidates who live in Western and Eastern Canada to apply for consideration for Board membership.


We wish to recruit a specialist as follows:


An executive level sales leader with a sizeable Canadian corporation. Experience with partnership and loyalty programs, telecommunications, mobile, or information technology would be an asset.


Director commitment:


There are four board meetings per year (March, May, August, and November). Time commitment would be four days plus preparation and travel time. In addition, board members may be called upon to serve on committees or task force.
