POSITION OVERVIEW

At the CPSA, our Digital Applications Specialist is one of our most important team members. Analytical by nature, they are one of the experts in how our systems work and how we use them day to day. They provide technical business support for our systems including CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365), marketing automation (ClickDimensions), learning management (Desire2Learn), content management (Sitefinity) along with several custom built applications and resources.
This role is our ‘go-to’ person for understanding how to use our systems, application workflows and data sets. They help setup and simplify software that can automate repetitive tasks and query data that gives us insights on our customer’s needs.
At the CPSA we operate like a small team with little formalities and with an upbeat attitude. Like many of our roles, we look for enthusiastic individuals who are able to work independently, stay organized and multi-task across many activities. We’re not expecting someone to come in day 1 with extensive experience in our systems. Rather we encourage them to explore, learn and work through trial and error to become that revered person that every organization needs and loves.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Support

• Providing advanced knowledge, user training and support for Dynamics 365 CRM and all other enterprise applications such as Navision, Click Dimensions, Desire2Learn, etc.
• Working with other team members and stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver changes to our existing systems that drive our business forward
• Acting as liaison between stakeholders such as Members or Associates and the digital strategy, software development or IT Operations support team.
• Creating a knowledge base through documentation, cheat sheets and other techniques to help other CPSA employees use applications to their fullest capability.

Application Support
• Querying and joining data between records in Dynamics CRM, Click Dimensions, Desire2Learn and custom applications and other data sources to create reports that better understand user behaviour, key events, and general trends
• Tracing system workflows to understand, pinpoint and troubleshoot application errors
• Experimenting and discovering applications features that turn into new ways to streamline how we work
• Brainstorming with other roles within CPSA to come up with new ways our existing technology can help create better user experiences and have better outcomes. Breaking down these ideas into technical requirements and working with developers to build and customize our application suite
• Use case development and application testing of enterprise solutions under development to identify and remediate potential problematic areas

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

• Reports directly to CPSA Digital Services team leader
• Works closely with Brand and Community associates to ensure alignment of priorities and delivery of an integrated, seamless member experience
• Collaborates with and enlists the support of cross-functional Association personnel in Learning Solutions, Sales and Finance & Operations functions
• Leverages external network of specialized agencies, technology partners and consultants

FAVOURABLE ATTRIBUTES AND CREDENTIALS
• 2-5 years of cumulative experience working in a business analyst capacity including:
     - Documenting requirements, business process, application & data flows, database schema and  data dictionaries
     -  Writing SQL queries for reporting and data analysis
     -  Creating use cases and testing applications and workflows
     - Configuring CRM systems (ideally Dynamics CRM)
     - Exposure to Learning Management Systems, BI and reporting tools (i.e. Tableau)
• Experience with Virtualization such as VMWare
• Knowledge of SQL, TestRail, JIRA
