The CPSA is currently seeking two new board members to complete the 8-member Board of Directors for the term beginning May 2021. Of particular interest are individuals with financial expertise (CPA), candidates who have led/participated in significant digital transformation in product digitization and/or educational technology, and those having an entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated successes in building growth-oriented companies including successful ‘start ups’.
As a Board Member, you will be willing to serve for a minimum of one two-year term and a maximum of three, two-year terms with the ability to participate and contribute as member and/or chair of our committees. You will have prior experience in sitting on and/or reporting to a board; have the ability to take on broad multi-committee responsibilities; work well as part of a team; contribute reasoned opinion and accept and support decisions reached by the board; have experience working with a diverse membership and a complex product mix; and are able to commit the time and resources to serve on the board and committees.
Director commitment & remuneration:
Board members participate in approximately 10 meetings a year comprised of 4-5 board meetings and 4-5 committee meetings. While board meetings are normally attended in person, during the pandemic they will be virtual meetings. Committee meetings are normally held virtually. All board meeting expenses are covered including travel to and from ‘in person’ board meetings. Currently directors receive a stipend of $1,500 per board meeting and $500 per committee meeting attended.
