TELUS Sales Academy Accredited by CPSA as First Canadian Sales Organization to Award Professional Designations to Sales Professionals

TELUS Business Solutions Sales Team Members Will Be Eligible to Earn Their Certified Sales Associate (CSA) Designation Upon Completion of the Company’s Foundation Level Curriculum

TORONTO, Canada (October 18, 2018) - TELUS Business Solutions and the Canadian Professional Sales Association announced today that TELUS is the first Canadian company to be able to award professional sales designations to successful internal candidates of their TELUS Sales Academy.  Upon completion of the Foundation Level curriculum, maintaining a required level of sales performance over 12 months in role and having been approved by an internal certification board, candidates will be ready to complete the CSA exam and earn their professional designation administered by CPSA, the national industry association for sales.


TELUS’ aspiration is to become a Premier Sales Organization.  To attract, retain and develop the most qualified business to business sales team, TELUS introduced sales enablement tools and created the TELUS Sales Academy, an innovative multi-year training and career development programme designed to facilitate the adoption of industry best practices and sales competencies with just-in-time learning.


CPSA has awarded TELUS the right to grant professional development credits to its sales team members, which, when combined, fulfill the CPSA’s requirements for its CSA designation in sales.  The CSA designation was created with industry consultation to acknowledge early stage sales professionals with six months of verified client-facing sales experience and 35 hours of recognized professional development in skill areas from the Sales Professional Competency Framework , such as prospecting, business acumen, sales process technology, and relationship development.
