The Canadian Professional Sales Association and the Sobey School of Business’ Executive & Professional Development Division at Saint-Mary's University join forces to launch an Accredited Sales Program.
For as long as sales has existed in Canada, the Canadian Professional Sales Association has been there to support and advance the professional sales community. Today, the CPSA is working with industry partners, educators, and the Government of Canada to ensure that Canadian businesses have access to the sales talent critically needed for growth given the current economic climate.
“The CPSA is very excited to partner with the Sobey School of Business at such an important time for Canadian business,” said Nicholas Crowe, CPSA’s Vice-President of Learning Solutions. “With an ever-evolving new economic landscape in Canada as we emerge from the COVID-19 Pandemic, this sales program will provide the skills and tools that businesses needed to support sales initiatives that drive business growth and economic recovery.”

Starting in Winter 2022, the Sobey School of Business will be offering Sales for the Non-Sales Executives, a 6-week course geared towards developing fundamental sales skills and competencies to succeed in modern business environments. This course is proudly accredited by the CPSA and provides students with the full pre-requisite education that students require to pursue their Certified Sales Associate (CSA) designation. This course will build students’ consultative selling skills and provide them with the fundamental knowledge necessary for sales success. Learners will walk away with the skills to gather meaningful market and client intelligence, develop relationships across a broad spectrum of personas, and propose custom solutions that address the business challenges and goals of clients they work with across the entire organization. Sales is not just for sales professionals any longer.
“We are thrilled to launch this new partnership with the Canadian Professional Sales Association,” says Dr. Mohammad M. Rahaman, Associate Dean, Strategic Partnerships & Community Engagement, Sobey School of Business. “At the Sobey School, we recognize that the success of an enterprise ultimately resides on its earning power.
