Who can join?

Earn Your Sales Certificate Digital Credential from the CPSA Institute


Enrolling in an approved Sales Certificate program will prepare you to excel in sales. You’ll build your knowledge, skills, and confidence in key areas like account management, business acumen, communication, consultative selling, product and technical knowledge, relationship building, and more. 

Graduates go on to work in all kinds of industries, including: 

  • IT sales
  • Pharmaceutical sales
  • Media sales
  • Food service sales
  • Recruitment

The SC can also help you move toward the Certified Sales Associate (CSA) designation, positioning you for even greater success in the future. Once issued, you will receive a digital credential which you can then share on your resume, your email signature and across your social media networks.

Requirements

  • Successfully complete the defined group of sales certificate courses at your school as part of your regular degree, diploma, or certificate program
  • These courses are available through our partner colleges and universities across Canada
  • Become a CPSA member or student subscriber

Maintain your SC Digital Credential

  • To maintain your SC Digital Credential, you must maintain Membership or Student Subscription with CPSA.

CPSA is now issuing a digital Sales Certificate so that you can immediately share your achievement on your resume,your email signature and across your social media networks. To be eligible for the Sales Certificate, you must be a CPSA member or Student Subscriber.

Sales Excellence Award: Recognizing Outstanding Achievement


Students who earn the CPSA Institute Sales Certificate or are enrolled in a CPSA Accredited Program and have completed all sales modules within that program are eligible to apply for the Sales Excellence Award. 
In addition to the award prizes listed below, students can use this example of outstanding achievement as a portfolio builder and professional proof you demonstrate the assets of a rising star in the Sales profession! Award Prizes

The following 3 awards recognizes outstanding achievements of post-secondary students involved in sales education

Mike Jackson Memorial Award CAD $2,500.00
Sales Excellence Award 1 CAD $1,500.00
Sales Excellence Award 2 CAD $1,500.00

Scholarship awardees also receive a mentoring relationship with a Sales Leader and a 1 year complimentary CPSA Student Subscription.


Eligibility

To be considered, you must have graduated from or be enrolled in a CPSA Accredited Program (and complete all sales modules within that program) between the period Fall 2018 to Summer 2019.


A. Mike Jackson Memorial Award:

  • Completion of all sales modules from an accredited full-time, post-secondary program
  • Demonstrate extra-curricular activities in sales*
  • Attained an overall GPA of 80% or higher**
  • Exhibit exceptional performance in Sales module(s)
  • Submit a 5 minute video presentation showcasing yourself, following the guide below*** (feel free to show your creativity)

B. Sales Excellence Awards:

  • Completion of all sales modules from an accredited full-time, post-secondary program
  • Attained an overall GPA of 75% or higher
  • Exhibit exceptional performance in Sales module(s)
  • Submit a 5 minute video presentation showcasing yourself, following the guide below*** (feel free to show your creativity)


*Demonstrate extra-curricular activities in Sales which includes outstanding involvement in any of the following: sales clubs, student competitions, academic publications, student governance, volunteer work, ad sales for newsletters and part-time summer sales roles 

**If you have not yet graduated from your program, send your most recent end of semester transcript

*** 5 minute video submission: Introduce yourself (full name, program & academic institution); Tell us about yourself and why you chose sales as a field of study; Describe a time when you had to use sales related skills to achieve a goal. What was the goal? Was it achieved? What did you learn from this? How do you think winning the Sales Excellence Awards would impact you?


How To Apply

Complete and email the Sales Excellence Award application Form to StudentProgram@cpsa.com along with evidence of meeting or exceeding application criteria. Evidence may include (not limited to):


  • Transcript (clearly outlining GPA %)
  • Letter of support/endorsement from an instructor or faculty member
  • Your Sales publications
